Dj Eugenia

Eugenia has always had a passion for music. She taped her first mix tape when she was 10 years old, recording songs from the radio on to a cassette tape and playing it to her classmates.
Throughout the years, her love of music did not subside and she still loved sharing it with other people, still making mixes and handing them out to her friends. Finally until one day in the fall of 2009, she decided to take her interest in music one step further, reach a larger audience and get into DJ-ing. DJ Eugenia was born.
Since then, she has frequently performed at Oslo’s most popular & fashionable club Emil & Samuel, both as the main indoors-DJ, but also as a warm-up DJ for the likes of Marlon K Jones (NL), Pistolpuma (NO), Juicy (NO) & DJ Cassidy (the well-known, New York-based DJ who has played at Jay-Z and Beyonce’s wedding and is also Barack Obama’s DJ of choice). Eugenia has also performed at Chateau Neuf, UiO, Revolver, Café Memphis, Plaza Hotel, Chateau, So, Café Mono, Tin Agent’s 15-year anniversary photo exhibit of Norway’s top photographers, Paleet shopping center’s 20th anniversary (a 3-days celebration, including a private party for all of the employees) and at the “EXTREMA Outdoor Norway” house festival. Her dj sets have frequent air time on www.cueradio.fm(www.cueradio.fm/eugenia) and she is represented by Small Management Agency alongside djs like Natalia Barbin, Christian Sol, Charlotte Thorstvedt, G-Ha, Ivaylo, Mudman, Bart Cieslak.
Eugenia has gained acclaim for bringing joy to the people and getting them in a good mood through the music that she plays. You can call her “the feel-good DJ”. Her clients rely on her to bring in a different and unique sound to the dance floor, blending the different genres like house, progressive house, electro house, tech house and remixed pop. Eugenia is known for playing tunes that are unique and that have an edgy sound to them. She views DJ-ing as a performance and the DJ being not solely an artist, but also a leader. Thus the importance of challenging the crowd a bit to get them out of their comfort zone and giving them the unexpected. “I love what I do. I love playing. I love experimenting. I love performing.” – she says,- “Getting the crowd in a good mood is the best part of the job!”
